Hiccups

Justin was trying to scare away Grady's hiccups! Didn't work, but it was a great time.

Winter Update

Every time I do a blog entry I vow that I'll start doing them weekly, but it seems like the time between posts keeps getting longer and longer... Oh well here goes!

We have had a wonderful month - we spent Christmas in Asheville for the first time. Our WV trip for Thanksgiving was great but it was nice to not have to travel. We got our Christmas tree right after we returned from Thanksgiving. Grady loved the lights and colors on it! We met Sarah and Lucille to get the kids' picture with Santa. As you can see, one child was fine while the other didn't enjoy it so much...

When we woke up Christmas morning it was snowing, and it snowed all day - perfect! We opened presents in the morning and had a LOT of presents to open, mainly for Grady. He got so many cute toys and outfits from his aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents. My parents got him a walker which he loves! He has always like to be upright so it is perfect for him. We can sit him in it and wheel him all over the house. His legs aren't long enough to touch the floor yet but I'm sure they will be before too long. Grandma and Pop Pop Hunter got him a Dr. Seuss book set which I read to him almost every night. Fox in Sox has always been my favorite, and I'm sure with how many times I've read it to Grady it will be his also!

Grady is a master at rolling from his back to his belly. However, he had has some issues in learning how to roll from his belly back to his back. This has created some... frustration on his part. Every time he gets on his belly he gets so angry and just screams until we roll him back to his back. This has been going on for over a month now! Anytime he lies flat on his back he rolls over - including in his bed, so we have resorted to letting him sleep in his swing or bouncey seat some nights just to get some rest.

Yesterday he did it!! He accidentally rolled himself all the way over. We were jumping up and down! He did it a couple more times right then but hasn't mastered it yet. But there is hope!

This week, Grady's new friend Owen Andrew Thorne was born! Amy had him Friday, January 7th. We are so excited to meet him! Hopefully we can make a trip up at the end of the month.
